How can I get feedback on my progress without a live teacher?
At Master The Handpan, we’ve designed our learning platform to ensure you never feel alone on your journey. Through our Academy subscription, you’ll gain access to several tools for receiving feedback and enhancing your skills.
When you join the Academy, you become part of the Handpan Village, an online community of handpan enthusiasts from all over the world. Inside the Village, you’ll find the "Ask for Feedback" section, specifically created to help students improve.
What is it? A dedicated space where you can upload videos of your playing and ask for feedback.
Who provides feedback? Fellow students and, experienced players within the community (even our teachers are over there sometimes !). This is a great way to get constructive insights and share ideas in a supportive environment.
Many students find that the diversity of perspectives from this global community inspires growth and creativity.
Monthly Challenges: Every month, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a fun and engaging challenge related to your handpan practice. Submit a video of your performance to take part.
Teacher Feedback: During the Happy Hour, our expert teachers review a selection of these submissions, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
Interactive and Inspiring: Watching your peers receive feedback (even if your video isn’t selected) offers valuable lessons and helps you see the kinds of improvements you can incorporate into your own playing.
Community-Driven Growth: Learning alongside others provides motivation and camaraderie.
Tailored Advice: Both peer and teacher feedback offer actionable tips to refine your technique.
No Pressure: You can participate as much or as little as you like. There’s no pressure—only encouragement to grow at your own pace.
By joining the Academy, you’ll have everything you need to track your progress, gain valuable insights, and develop your skills. Feedback is always just a video upload or Happy Hour away!
